All Games Shipped!

Dear Young Emperors,

This week we finished shipping out all of the remaining orders for the Core Worlds: Empires + Nemesis Kickstarter campaign. We are so grateful to you for supporting us throughout this endeavor, and we are especially thankful for your patience during the final months as we dealt with several supply chain delays.

Here are some important notes:

•  Cancelled Tracking Numbers: Our warehouse made adjustments to some packages before sending them out. If you check your tracking number and receive a notification that your package was "cancelled," then it is likely that you have been reassigned a new tracking number. Please feel free to email me directly at [email protected] and I will supply you with a new tracking number.
•  Customer Service: If you are having troubles with package delivery or discover any issues with your games once delivered, please email me directly at [email protected] and I will work with you personally to resolve the issue.

 Shipping Update + Address Updates Needed 

The Ever Lasting has arrived at the Port of New York with our container aboard! The container has already cleared customs, so it should soon be on its way to Fulfillrite, our warehouse in Lakewood, New Jersey.

We plan to start shipping goods to our customers in the US and throughout the world later this week. If you have moved at any time in the past year, please be sure to update your address immediately by visiting BackerKit.com.  We plan to lock all addresses by Tuesday night at 11:59 PM EST.

The Ever Lasting is on its way!

Shipping Updates

After several weeks of delays, our vessel, the Ever Lasting, has finally set out from Bremerhaven Port in Germany with our container of games aboard! Our original ship was delayed for many days and then left without our container because the vessel was overbooked. Our container was then "rolled over" to the Ever Lasting, which was also delayed a couple of times before finally leaving port on February 8.

The current ETA of the Ever Lasting at the Port of New York and New Jersey is February 22. From there, we will need to clear customs, which could take several days, but we have the advantage of having our own container (not sharing with anyone else), so that increases our chances of a smooth customs experience. It only takes a day to drive to our warehouse from the port, so we should be able to start shipping out to backers very soon afterwards.

We thank you for your patience as you've waited for the games to set out on their journey. We have been posting updates on the main Comments page for the past few weeks, and we will continue to do so, so please check back there periodically for updates. All European Rewards Shipped!

We finished shipping out all of our European rewards, including Add-ons, back in early December. By now, everyone in Europe, including the UK, should have received their rewards unless they specifically requested for everything to be shipped from the US. If you have not received your rewards, please email me directly at [email protected] so that I can assist you with tracking your package.

"Core Worlds: Empires" Unboxing Video

Ludo Fact sent us the production samples for both Core Worlds: Empires and Core Worlds: Nemesis, and we are thrilled with the results. We immediately gave approval to finish assembling the games, and now everything is fully assembled and sitting on pallets ready to ship out (see "Shipping Updates" below). 

Since we had the production sample on hand, we thought we would create an official Unboxing Video to show off everything inside. Click the video link below to check out all the high-quality components coming soon to a doorstep near you.

Shipping Updates

EUROPE

Ludo Packt (the sister company of our printer, Ludo Fact) has already begun shipping out copies of Core Worlds: Empires and Core Worlds: Nemesis to all of our backers in Europe, and the factory should be finished with the shipping process by Monday. If you live in Europe and you haven't received a tracking email by next Wednesday, December 15, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] so I can provide you with one.

Fulfillrite, our fulfillment house in the US, finished shipping out all of the Add-ons to our European backers last week, including copies of the original Core Worlds card game and its expansions, as well as copies of Dungeon Alliance and its expansions. If you have not received a confirmation email from Fulfillrite, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] so I can provide you with one.

THE REST OF THE GALAXY

All of the remaining copies of Core Worlds: Empires and Core Worlds: Nemesis have been stacked on pallets and will be shipping out of Germany soon to head to Fulfillrite in New Jersey. The timeframe is difficult to predict due to global port issues, but we are hopeful that they will arrive at Fulfillrite by early January. Once they arrive, Fulfillrite should begin shipping them out to all of our customers in the US and throughout the world within 24 hours of receiving them. We will provide updates in our Comments section when the games leave Germany and when they arrive in the US.

We apologize for missing our original December goal for our non-European backers, but we are hopeful that everyone will receive everything by the end of January!

BackerKit Issues

Several of you have contacted us with concerns about games missing from your official orders on BackerKit. We apologize for the confusion. Part of the challenge of this Kickstarter is that we've been sending games from different countries at different times to the same customers. Because of this, we have had to remove games from your BackerKit orders after shipping them so that they would not accidentally be sent a second time when the rest of your order goes out. That is why you may notice a game is missing on BackerKit and has been replaced with a "credit," even though your order is locked. 

As it turns out, BackerKit has recently begun implementing a way to split up backer orders so that this will not be necessary in the future. So at least we'll be able to do this in a simpler fashion during a future project!

Core Worlds Manufacturing Nears Completion

Core Worlds Manufacturing Update

We have some exciting news today! Ludo Fact in Germany has finished printing Core Worlds: Empires and Core Worlds: Nemesis! Core Worlds: Nemesis is fully assembled and ready to ship out, and Core Worlds: Empires will be assembled this week. That means we are about to enter the final logistics phase of getting the games out to everyone.

We did have one hiccup towards the end of the manufacturing process that we have taken important steps to rectify. We discovered that we missed a graphic design error on one of our World Tokens (Avalon) after the card packs and punchboards had already been printed. This affected two pieces, the actual Avalon World Token and its corresponding World Card. Since we caught the error before the games were assembled, we are able to include a replacement card, as well a replacement sticker for the World Token, right in the game box. You will simply need to throw out the original card and attach the sticker to the World Token, and your game will be correct.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this error, but we are relieved that the replacements could be included right in your game box and not have to be shipped out to you separately.

Final Manufacturing and Delivery Schedule

Ludo Fact will be sending us a production sample of both games this week. Once we approve the production samples, Ludo Fact will complete assembly of Core Worlds: Empires. 

Within two weeks after the games are assembled, LudoPackt (the sister company of Ludo Fact) will begin shipping the games to our individual backers in Europe. We will simultaneously begin shipping add-ons from the US to European backers so they can arrive close to the same time.

Meanwhile, our shipping company, American River Group, will arrange transport of the remaining games to Fulfillrite, our fulfillment company in New Jersey (US). Due to the current global port issues, we cannot guarantee when the games will arrive on the east coast (fortunately they are not going through the LA port!), but as soon as the games arrive, Fulfillrite will begin shipping them out to our backers in the US and throughout the world. Fulfillrite usually starts shipping games out within 24 hours of their arrival at the warehouse.

We will monitor the progress of the game's shipping journey very closely, and we will send another update in mid-December to keep you updated on progress.

European Address Updates

We have unlocked the addresses of most of our backers on BackerKit, so please go in and update your mailing addresses immediately, especially if you live in Europe, by visiting BackerKit.com. If you discover that your address is still locked or if you need help in any way, please contact me immediately at [email protected] and I will work with you personally to help resolve your issues.

"Core Worlds: Empires" Final Rulebook

While waiting for your games to arrive, we thought you would enjoy reading the final version of the Core Worlds: Empires Rulebook, which includes lots of updates and clarifications from the Kickstarter version, and also includes the Campaign Rules for playing back-to-back versions of Core Worlds and Core Worlds: Empires.
